!0/10 and 10/11 update
Conditions look very good for kayaking on Monday and Tuesday. Please help your child be prepared for the day.
10/5 Update
Although I have not yet heard from Watertreks, I have checked the forecast again this morning. Please have your son or daughter prepared for the field trip AND the possibility for staying at school.
10/4
First and second period students have been troopers kayaking in rain and windy conditions with amazing attitudes and skillfulness!! So proud. Even though we have some windy conditions forecast again for tomorrow, 10/5, we will continue with the trip and come in a little early if necessary, as we have done the last couple of days. A huge thanks to our chaperones who have also braved less than perfect conditions and kept the students on task and safe.

Hello First Period Parents and Guardians,
Although I have not heard confirmation from Watertreks, tomorrow's field trip is on. I have checked conditions with the NOAA website. You can view current predictions at
http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?w0=t&w3=sfcwind&w3u=1&w4=sky&w5=pop&w6=rh&w7=rain&w8=thunder&w11u=1&w12u=1&AheadHour=15&Submit=Submit&FcstType=graphical&textField1=38.4497&textField2=-123.114&site=all&unit=0&dd=&bw=
It will be cool and damp but doable. Please be sure your child dresses appropriately (warm, in layers and and in clothing they can move in). Please also be sure they have a change of clothing and shoes for when we get off the water. We will be on the water from about 10.30 till 2.00.
Thank you,
Debbie Grima-Lowe
