I was born in Sydney Australia and earned my Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of New South Wales. I worked as a Fisheries Research Technician for several years before leaving Sydney to travel to parts of North and Central America. I met my future husband while camping in Sequoia National Park. I live with my husband and son in Guerneville California. In my spare time, I enjoy kayaking on the river, hiking, reading and drawing. I also enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
I have been the seventh grade science teacher at Willowside Middle School for fifteen years and every year I enjoy meeting and teaching a new group of students. I get a thrill from observing students developing the the ability to make connections between the classroom and their world. I also enjoy helping them build in confidence academically and the increasing value they put on their work.
